Voters heading to the polls for the November 5, 2013 General Election will be subject to new photo identification laws.

Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir, Travis County Voter Registrar Bruce Elfant and Austin City Council Member Mike Martinez announced the launch of mobile locations to assist citizens who have questions about the new voter ID law. Residents can register to vote, update voter registration information, and apply for disability exemptions at these mobile locations.

For those without one of the accepted forms of ID, Texas Secretary of State John Steen has also arranged to have DPS staff available at these mobile locations to issue Election Identification Certificates (EICs) at no charge — certain documentation is required.
