AUSTIN, TX (September 19, 2016)

As Travis County continues the move toward a new voting system, Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir’s efforts in developing the STAR Vote system are highlighted in a September 16, 2016 article in Fusion Magazine titled “Can this Texas county fix America’s electronic voting problem?”

“We anticipate releasing a Request for Proposals for STAR Vote by mid-October. This entire process is a direct result of collaboration with the voters of Travis County and an example of County Government stepping in to provide the taxpayers with what they have said they want to see in the polling place: a Secure, Transparent, Auditable, Reliable election system. That’s what STAR Vote is going to be,” said DeBeauvoir. “I’m thrilled that Fusion took the time to highlight the good work that our team is doing here in Austin.”
